Grand Budapest Hotelle

It’s A Lobby Girl

Shh! Society of the Crossed Keys!

Every Halloween I run down the list of Wes Anderson characters for costume inspiration:

  • Margot Tenenbaum (overdone*, has no bangs, please don’t make me reveal my forehead this holiday)

  • Moonrise Kingdom’s Suzy (Darla is too big to fit in that wicker basket bag and dragging Samsonite around Manhattan is not an option)

  • Life Aquatic’s Jane (must save for day when I’m actually pregnant) and so on…

So, on this particular Halloween I took matters into my own hands and flipped The Grand Budapest Hotel’s Lobby Boy to a Girl!

I sewed the heavy card stock frame into the orange wool and adorned the front with iron-on letters, hand painted in pink. To honor the discretion of the “Society of the Crossed Keys” I concealed a surprise detail inside, shh!

Do you have a costume party or event that requires a little something special? Message me here to talk about how Futur Parfait can take your statement outside the box!
